Kirribilli (not the Prime Minister´s residence) is a four bedroom holiday house at Windy Harbour, in the heart of the D´Entrecasteaux National Park. The house is solar powered with gas cooking and hot water, a large deck overlooking the dunes and a big open space with seating for meetings. It can sleep 4-10 people and seat up to 12 in the meeting room.
A short walk will take you through the swale to the beach and Cathedral Rock (top right). There are numerous other walks to Salmon Beach, the lighthouse and beyond. The world famous Bibbulman track is nearby and the Forest Art sculpture walk at Northcliffe is notable.
This is Chris Mcleod, author of Man of Water and four other highly praised works of fiction, during a guest session at the first Windy Harbour writer´s retreat in 2005. Programs consist of two sessions each day, with readings and entertainment at night. There is also lots of free time to walk, meditate or write in solitude.
